Heat Merchants Group trades in 42 outlets around Ireland as Heat Merchants and Tubs & Tiles. The group has 30 Heat Merchants branches and 12 Tubs & Tiles showrooms supported by a central warehouse and distribution hub based in Athlone.

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an IT Support Analyst to join the IT Department at their Business Support Office in Athlone, Co Westmeath

Overall purpose of role:

To contribute to the successful operation of the helpdesk and IT function within the business.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support to the business from within a service desk environment.
  • Provide support for Windows and ERP software.
  • Offer hardware support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate security policies.
  • Provide technical assistance and problem resolution to internal customers via phone, email, and web.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues reported by internal customers.
  • Occasional travel throughout Ireland may be required.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by management that align with your skills and capabilities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Relevant IT qualification or CompTIA A+
  • Enjoy identifying and resolving problems
  • Be highly organized and efficient
  • Be service minded and helpful
  • Be enthusiastic about learning new technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Full Drivers License

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Kerridge K8 systems or similar ERP systems
