Chopped 2.0 Smithfield
The Tubs & Tiles commercial team worked with Millimetre Design to propose tiles and bathroom ware to the new premised for Chopped 2.0 - The Healthy Food Company at their Smithfield location in Dublin.
The lead on this project was our National Sales Manager for Tubs & Tiles Commercial, Jason O’ Connor who worked alongside Millimetre Design, an Interior Design & Branding Studio, to complete this stunning project.
Millimetre Design advised us that the client requested bright, natural colours for the interiors that would match well with their company branding. They wanted something funky and a little bit edgy for the bathrooms to show off their more contemporary side.
A huge focus was on the tiles for the shop floor and bathrooms as they needed to be durable and suitable for high traffic areas along with having the correct slip resistance and be easy to clean.
The Chopped main shop floor features the classic concrete effect tile Boom Acciaio by Ragno (60x60cm). This is inspired by the originality of industrial floorings marked by the passing of time and fits beautifully with the brand's characteristic decor and industrial style. Boom recalls the rich shades and variegated patterning of concrete in neutral, timeless colours for a look that is simple, beautiful and balanced.
Tiles selected for the bathroom floor reflect the brands connection with nature. Our team sourced a Nenets R Natural Verde by Vives specifically for this project. The green and white floor tile replicates the look of raw wood manufactured board. These were laid in a striking geometric pattern that gives the bathroom a bright unconventional look which matches wonderfully with the natural wood look in the doors.
Commercial Washroom
The toilets are all from the Duravit D Code range which offers the quality and durability for which Duravit are renowned while also offering great value.
The Silhouette wash trough looks great and is easy to clean and maintain. It is non porous ensuring it is a hygienic feature for commercial bathrooms.
The sensor taps are designed to conserve water and offer a hygenic touch free solution. These and the co-ordinating soap dispensers were sourced for this project from Ideal Standard.
It is evident that the architecture and design of this building exudes creative choices. The decision to implement tile flooring throughout means that from the moment you walk in, each area of the building flows seamlessly together.
