Westmeath. With 42 outlets across the country, including 30 Heat Merchants branches and 12 Tubs & Tiles showrooms, the company continues to grow, delivering top-tier products and services nationwide.

Due to continued growth, a fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Project Manager to join their team at their Business Support Office in Athlone, Co Westmeath.  As a key member of the team, you will play an essential role in managing and driving projects that support the expansion and success of this thriving business.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To assist in managing and reporting on key projects which form a part of the Heat Merchants Group overall strategy to ensure on-time delivery of agreed targets.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling and coordination, including:
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather project requirements
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in developing the project plans and timelines
  • Monitor the progress of projects and identifying potential risks.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Support the preparation of status reports and presentations for project updates.
  • Provide reports on KPIs and other indicators for project success
  • Provide support for Business Intelligence reporting where appropriate
  • Support the implementation of project management best practices
  • Assist in defining company processes to support GDPR function
  • Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by management that are within your capability to perform.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful candidate must have:

  • At least 1-2 years of recent, relevant experience in Project Management
  • Qualification in Project Management or relevant related discipline. Level 8 degree qualification would also be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with and motivate others to achieve results
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Possess or demonstrate the capacity to quickly develop to high-level key competencies, including:

  • Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Generation of reports and supporting documentation
  • Risk analysis and process improvement, including process mapping
